Policies

Booking and Payment

  • A valid card is required to book and hold your appointment. This card is not charged at the time of booking—it is only used in accordance with the cancellation and no-show policies.
  • No deposit is required. Your card is stored securely and will only be charged if you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or fail to show up for your appointment without contacting me. This time was reserved specifically for you, and last-minute cancellations or no-shows prevent others from receiving care.
  • I accept Cash App, cash, Venmo, and credit/debit cards via Square. Please note that Venmo and Square may include a processing fee of up to 4%.
  • Gift cards and specialized packages must be paid in full upfront. Once confirmed, they can be delivered digitally or physically.
  • If you prefer, we can charge the card on file after your session with your consent.
  • Gratuity is never expected but always appreciated and can be given through any accepted payment method.
  • Receipts are available upon request.

Intake Forms and Medical Information

  • New clients are required to complete an intake form prior to their first session.
  • Please update your form if there are any changes in your medical history, medications, or health conditions. Forms are typically renewed every few months to one year.
  • If you have specific sensitivities, trauma considerations, or comfort needs, please include this in your intake and notify me via text prior to your session when possible. This helps create a safe and accommodating environment.

Arrival and Session Expectations

  • Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow time for questions, undressing, or restroom use. New clients are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes early; returning clients may arrive 5 minutes early.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and arrive with a clean, makeup-free face to avoid staining linens.
  • Parking is available along the curb. Please text upon arrival—do not knock or ring the doorbell, as I may be with another client or preparing the space.
  • Remove your shoes at the door. Clean slippers are available if needed.
  • A restroom is available before, during, and after your session.

Cancellations, No-Shows, and Late Arrivals

  • Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged 30% of the full service cost at my discretion.
  • No-call, no-shows may be charged up to 50% of the service cost.
  • Communication is important. Please reach out as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
  • Exceptions are made for weather-related issues, illness, or emergencies. Honesty and early communication are appreciated.
  • If you arrive late, I will do my best to adjust your session time based on availability. Full session time may not be guaranteed if others are scheduled after you.

Health and Safety

  • If you are ill, have been exposed to illness, or are experiencing symptoms, please reschedule. No penalties will be charged for illness-related cancellations.
  • If I am unwell, I will notify you promptly and your appointment will be rescheduled with priority.
  • In the event of severe weather or unsafe travel conditions, we will reschedule your appointment without penalty.
  • For your safety and mine, you may stop the session at any time for any reason. I also reserve the right to stop the session to maintain safety and professional boundaries.

Professional Boundaries and Scope of Practice

  • Massage therapy is a professional, non-sexual healthcare service. Any inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the session, full payment due, and a permanent ban from future bookings. Legal authorities may be notified if necessary.
  • I do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, or perform chiropractic adjustments.
  • Massage therapy is not a replacement for medical care. Please consult your healthcare provider for medical concerns.
  • I may refuse or terminate a session at any time if your well-being is at risk or if professional boundaries are not respected.

Pregnancy, Medical Conditions, and Special Considerations

  • Massage is generally not recommended during the first trimester. If you choose to proceed, you assume responsibility and accept any risk. Appropriate safety protocols will be followed.
  • I am trained to work safely with pregnant clients, clients trying to conceive, and those with special medical needs. However, massage is provided at your own risk.
  • Always indicate pregnancy, medical conditions, or special considerations on your intake form so proper care and modifications can be made.
  • Women are encouraged to bring a hair tie or use a provided head wrap to keep hair away from the neck and back.

Clients Under 18

  • Clients 15 to 17 years old must have a legal guardian sign a consent form, but the guardian does not need to be present unless requested by the client.
  • Clients 14 years and younger require a guardian’s presence during the session.
  • Clients within one month of turning 18 may be treated without a guardian present, as long as consent is signed.
  • Written guardian consent is legally required for all minors to receive treatment.

Confidentiality and HIPAA Compliance

  • I comply with HIPAA standards. All personal and health information you provide is confidential and securely stored.
  • Your information is never shared, sold, or distributed for any reason.
  • The only exception is if information is legally requested through a court subpoena.
  • If you wish to authorize the sharing of your information (e.g., with a doctor, chiropractor, or wellness provider), a written and signed consent form must be submitted in advance.

Refund Policy

  • Massage services are generally non-refundable. Exceptions may be made only under extraordinary circumstances.
